All powerful and ever merciful God, we give thanks and praise to you for the gift of our lives. We thank you for both human and natural resources bestowed on our Land. We present to you the outcome of the terrorist activities at Madalla on Christmas day 2011,where many Innocent lives were lost, very many people were injured and lots of properties were destroyed.

Grant internal rest to those who lost their lives as a result of the bomb blast. Grant your healing mercy to the injured and afflicted, console and comfort their families. Grant a change of heart and the grace of total conversion to the perpetrators and sponsors of this wicked act. Continue to protect our lives and properties from the hands of the evil ones.

Bless with your abiding presence our leaders Religious, Tradition and Civil authorities at all levels. Pour out your new year blessings on our Land. May our Lady of sorrows intercede for all families and may our Lord Jesus Christ the Divine you Mercy Incarnate grant our country peace, unity progress and harmony.

We make these prayers through Christ our Lord. Amen

Why This Prayer?

It was a black Christmas, 25th December 2011, to the members of St. Theresa’s Catholic church, Madalla, Mina Diocese and to the entire Catholic families all over the world, as the church witnessed a bomb blast which has remained indelible in the heart of worshipers who survived the unexpected tragedy, even though the church has put behind the memories of the event by carrying on with her primary function which is to serve God. The Catholic church put up a prayer which is recited in every mass to the memory of the victims of the said bomb blast, to be granted eternal rest and to grant a total conversion to the perpetrators and sponsors of the evil act.
